Hunting Lane Films
Founded by Jamie Patricof, Hunting Lane Films is the independent production company behind critically acclaimed films HALF NELSON, written and directed by Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden, starring Ryan Gosling — a role for which he received an Academy Award nomination — and SUGAR, the sophomore feature from Fleck & Boden, released in 2009 by Sony Pictures Classics.  Hunting Lane also produced CONFESSIONS OF A SUPERHERO, a documentary by Matt Ogens released in 2007.   Most recent films include BLUE VALENTINE, co-written and directed by Derek Cianfrance, released by The Weinstein Company, and starring Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams. For her work in this film, Michelle is currently nominated for an Academy Award in the category of Best Actress. Another recent project is LITTLE BIRDS, a Sundance project written and directed by Elgin James which premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival this past January.

Hunting Lane is also behind STRAIGHT OUTTA LA, a documentary directed by Ice Cube for ESPN’s critically acclaimed 30 for 30 series and also for BRAVO, reality program THE RACHEL ZOE PROJECT, which is in its third season.


Jamie Patricof: PRODUCER

Jamie Patricof is the founder of Hunting Lane Films, a production company based in Los Angeles.  He recently completed BLUE VALENTINE, a film co-written and directed by Derek Cianfrance, starring Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams, which premiered at Sundance 2010 and was released by The Weinstein Company.  The film earned Gosling a “Best Actor” Golden Globe nomination and Williams both a Golden Globe and Academy Award ”Best Actress” nominations this year. He premiered his most recent film, LITTLE BIRDS, a Sundance Lab project written and directed by Elgin James, at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. LITTLE BIRDS will be released in late 2011 by Millennium Entertainment.

Currently, Patricof is finishing production on THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES, the latest film by director Derek Cianfrance. Sidney Kimmel Entertainment financed and the film stars Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper, Eva Mendes, Rose Byrne and Ray Liotta.

His first feature, HALF NELSON, by filmmakers Ryan Fleck & Anna Boden, premiered in 2006 and went on to win three Gotham Awards, two Spirit Awards, and a “Best Actor” nomination for the film’s star, Ryan Gosling, at the 2007 Academy Awards.  Patricof then produced the documentary film CONFESSIONS OF A SUPERHERO, released in 2007, followed by the sophomore feature from Fleck and Boden, SUGAR, released by Sony Pictures Classics in April 2009.  Patricof executive produced THE BROTHERHOOD, a feature co-written and directed by Will Canon, which debuted and won the 2010 Audience Award at SXSW.  He is premiering his most recent film, LITTLE BIRDS, a Sundance Lab project written and directed by Elgin James, at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.

Patricof is an Executive Producer for the The Rachel Zoe Project on Bravo and his documentary for ESPN’s 30/30 series, Straight Outta L.A., directed by Ice Cube, debuted at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival.  Patricof executive produced Players: Ludacris and a tribute to the seminal hip-hop group Run DMC and Jam Master Jay: The Last Interview for VH1. Prior to that, he produced ESPN’s The Life, a behind-the-scenes look at athletes’ lives off the field, which was nominated for an Emmy.

He lives with his wife and two daughters in Los Angeles.


Katie McNeill: CREATIVE EXECUTIVE

Katie McNeill graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2008 with a degree in Communication Studies.  Two weeks after graduation she drove across the country to intern at Hunting Lane Films in Los Angeles and within two months the company hired her to cover the desk of Jamie Patricof.  Since joining Hunting Lane, McNeill has associate produced STRAIGHT OUTTA LA, a documentary directed by Ice Cube for ESPN’s 30/30 series, as well as Sundance Lab project, LITTLE BIRDS, written and directed by Elgin James.  LITTLE BIRDS premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival and will be released by Millennium Entertainment.  In early 2011 she was promoted to Creative Executive and is most currently associate producing Derek Cianfrance’s THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES starring Bradley Cooper and Ryan Gosling.


Mark Tuohy:  CREATIVE EXECUTIVE

Mark Tuohy graduated from Columbia University in 2004 with a BA in film.  Upon graduating, he moved to Los Angeles and found a job at Endeavor, first working in the book department and then for Graham Taylor, head of Endeavor (now WME) Independent.  From there, he went on to work at Michael DeLuca Productions before being offered a job as assistant to Richard Brener, President of Production at New Line Cinema.  He worked as a Co-producer on the New Line Cinema film THE RITE, starring Anthony Hopkins, which was released world-wide in January 2011.
